South West Australia is already famous for its wineries but will soon be famous for the Miss South West Australia Miss Pole Comp!

The best pole dancers in SWA will be converging on the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre May 20th to compete for the title of Miss South West Australia! Polercise WA in conjunction with Mighty Grip Australia will host the inaugural event in recognition of the elite athleticism shown by the emerging Pole Fitness sport. Pole Dancing/Fitness is emerging as a popular sport with over 150 studios Australia wide and growing.

Pole Dancing classes are a great way to get in shape and keep in shape! Pole Dancing strengthens the core, tones the upper and lower body, increases flexibility, and burns calories. It is also a great way to increase self confidence and alleviate stress.

Polercise WA started in 2009 as the first pole fitness studio in Bunbury, and has since developed its own brand in clothing, self help posters and books teaching how to do pole on various levels and combinations. Polercise WA focuses directly on the gymnastic side of pole, developing the students strength and core is paramount, shoes are no necessity and Polercise WA are seen to encourage their students to develop an individualistic style. Polercise WA held a fund raiser in September 2010 and raised $20,000 for cancer research. The ingenuity and range available for the sport of pole dance is testament to the intensifying interest which has driven house mum’s and fitness fanatics alike, to the pole!The winner and 2 runners up of Miss South West Australia Pole Comp will automatically take them through to the next heat in Miss Pole Dance Australia, an event that has been going for 6 years.

The 800 seat capacity Entertainment Centre in Bunbury, is expected to sell out when tickets go on sale on the 01st of April. Not only will there be a pole dancing competition but an explosion of entertainment from other local business will ensure an entertaining night that you wont forget.
